Impact of Hunger

Food is a daily necessity that people often take for granted. There are many families that have to choose between buying food or paying bills. This lack of resources can have many negative, long-term effects like Type II Diabetes, hypertension, decreased school and work performance, and childhood developmental delays (Coleman-Jensen, Rabbitt, & Singh, 2016).

How We Help

When a person is in need of groceries, it is vital that the community has a comprehensive and up-to-date listing to direct him or her.  Though only food pantries in the city of Gainesville are listed on this website, one day it may grow to include the county as well.

I hope the information will help those who are in need themselves as well as those who provide direction to those in need.

About Us
